The whole story starts back in 2005, with CHARLIE DON’T SURF a traditional hard rock power trio, regarded by many as  « Old School ».

 A 7 track CD is issued in 2006 «7 ways to go» that will allow the band to play several festivals in Belgium  (Kiwarock, Barbaresques, Wolfrock…) and abroad (Borderrock-Netherlands). More tracks are recorded in the following years, some of which will be released on various compilation albums.

In 2009, as their music is heading towards more « metal » horizons, the threesome decide to rechristen their project and choose a name that definitely fits their music : STAINLESS was born.

 

In August 2009 the band lock themselves up for 4 days at the Noise Factory Studios and comes up with 7 tracks featured on « Dreamless », self released by the band.

Powerful pieces of music where energy and a near surgical precision blend and form the foundation for vocals that range from « soft » to « rough ». April 2010 : the band shoot a video clip featuring a track from that very same album : « Disciplined People ». The band then hit the road again and among others ends up headlining the « Donc Festival» in Switzerland .

 

 

After a few gigs in 2010 (Festivals with italian bands DGM, Empiryos…) and 2011 (PPM Fest, Mass Deathstruction Fest, Deathroad Fest, Festival des Maudits…) the band focuses on producing new material.

 

The writing is more straightforward, the sound got rougher, and that shows on their second opus « When both ends burn » recorded late 2012 at Noise Factory Studios, and released in March 2013, with Moonzoo Music taking care of the digital distribution.

The new stuff is resolutely « in your face » and will undoubtedly catch the ears of headbanging metal rock lovers through the world.

 

 

FRENCH - FRANCAIS:

 

Tout commence fin 2005, avec la formation de CHARLIE DON’T SURF trio de rock teinté de hard rock taditionnel, que d’aucuns qualifient « Old School ».

Un CD verra le jour en 2006 (7 ways to go), et le groupe sera à l’affiche de plusieurs festivals belges  (Kiwarock, Barbaresques, Wolfrock…) et étrangers (Borderrock-NL). D’autres enregistrements seront réalisés au cours des années suivantes (notamment quelques titres en collaboration avec la Maison pour Associations à Charleroi).

En 2009, leur musique ayant pris une direction résolument plus « metal », les trois lascars décident de rebaptiser leur projet et optent pour un nom qui cadre mieux avec leur musique : STAINLESS était né.

 

La même année, le groupe s’enferme pendant 4 jours au studio Noise Factory et en sort avec 7 titres qui seront repris sur « Dreamless », que le groupe publie en autoproduction.

Des morceaux puissants, où la précision et l’énergie s’associent à un chant tantôt mélodique, tantôt plus « rough ». En avril 2010 un video clip est réalisé reprenant un titre de cet album « Disciplined People ».Le groupe reprend ensuite le chemin des salles de concert et se retrouve entre autres tête d’affiche au « Donc Festival» en Suisse .

 

Après quelques concerts en 2010 (Festival avec DGM,  ) et en 2011 (PPM Fest, Mass Deathstruction Fest, Deathroad Fest, Festival des Maudits…) le groupe se concentre sur la composition de nouveaux morceaux.

 

L’écriture  est plus directe, le son plus brut, comme en témoigne leur second opus « When both ends burn » enregistré fin 2012 au Noise Factory, paru en mars 2013 et dont la distribution digitale est assurée par Moonzoo Music.

 Des titres résolument « in your face » qui à coup sûr feront vibrer les amateurs de rock-metal …
